Paul Duan
Paul is the co-founder and President of Bayes Impact, a Y Combinator-backed startup NGO that solves big social problems and modernizes governments using data science.
Bayes Impact builds operational solutions that improve the lives of millions of people at a scale only possible with algorithms. They are a team of former leading engineers and data scientists from companies such as Google and Uber who quit their jobs to dedicate their lives to improving the world, one algorithm at a time.
Paul was formerly Eventbrite’s lead data scientist, which he joined at age 19 and helped grow to a $1B company. His previous work has been featured in publications such as the Economist and the Wall Street Journal. Originally from France, Paul moved to the Silicon Valley after completing his studies at UC Berkeley and Sciences Po Paris.
